Do you think it's fair for a daycare to not let babies have pacifiers there after they turn 1?

but blankies are okay. Also what about bottles, if they told you the rule was no bottles there after a year(unless the baby just won't drink out of cup yet). Would you protest or be okay with these rules?

My way of thinking is I guess it depends on how attached my kid is, but I would also be like okay he will get used to not having at one place at least. And if he/she does fine there I know I can take them too. This is an opinion question, no snotty comments. just incase you were wondering my son is 3 now. He stopped using a pacifier at 6 months(switched to his thumb) and was taking a sippy fine at 10mos so I took the bottles then too.

I guess if you don't like the policy, you should change providers. As long as they're consistant and up front about their expectations, it's fair, even if it's silly.

baby keeps pulling blanket over head/face?

My son is almost 4 months old. He plays with his feet nonstop. Everytime I lay him down for bed and put a blanket over him, even if its just his legs, he will pull his legs up and then grab the blanket and put it over his head and face. If theres a burp cloth near him at any time (not in his crib of course) he will pull that up to his cheek too. He loves doing this and its almost like hes soothing himself to go to sleep? Should I take his blankies away all together? Any other suggestions? Im afraid he will smother himself.

You could try one of those Sleep Sacks instead of putting blankets in the bed with him. Understand that he likes to play with his feet and he might fuss about not being able to do it, but better safe than sorry.

My son is 19 months old and every night I'm in his room 2-3 times a night getting his blankets away from his face...he also likes to cover his head. There is no way I could NOT put blankets in his bed, but I do make sure the blankets in there are very light weight and small..so if he does get under them, he can still get some air.

I use receiving blankets with him..he loves them and they are very light weight.
