What color baby blanket for brunette?
My cousin is having a baby and I want to make a baby afghan. It'll be a boy and his mom has light brown hair and his dad has dark brown hair. What color afghan would be good? I was thinking medium blue.
It's stereotyping to use blue (in the Americas), or some other colours in other cultures. Babies are cute no matter what colour the blanket is. They have poor vision at first, so they tend to like bright colours. It's only the parents that want "baby blue" or "baby pink". I like to go against the grain, and introduce some non-gender specific colour... or maybe in variegated... or stripes of all colours!! Make it in a pattern that is interesting, in pleasing colours, and it will get used. It might just become the baby's favourite!
What is the brown sticky smelly substance that comes out of my pets?
I picked up my cat and she shot this brown liquid onto the wall out of her rear. It smelled horrible when inhaled.
My aunt's dog also did this on the blanket once. It smelled even worse.
It's probably normal, what is it from though?
Anal glands!! Its the worst smell ever. uggghhhh... anal glands produce that yuckiness, which helps lubricate bowel movements. The fluid also contains important information, which is why dogs sniff each others butts when they meet. Dogs can determine a lot about each other just by smelling this stuff.
A lot of times. dogs and cats end up accidentally letting loose when they get scared or stressed (which is what i assume happened with your cat), Its sort of like us being so scared that we "s**t ourselves". Your aunts dog may actually need to get his anal glands expressed by a vet or a groomer if the liquid is frequently seen dripping out of him, on his bed, or if he scoots his but on the floor. Cats don't usually need to have this done because they do such a good job cleaning themselves.
