Nap scedule for 4 mos. old?
My 4 1/2 month old daughter hates to nap. She has not been a good napper since day 1 and the dr. said it was probably in her personality. I'm trying to get her on a 2 time/day nap schedule, but it's not working. She often doesn't want to nap for more than 45 min. at a time and I can't get her to sleep longer. I don't think 45 minutes is long enough for a good nap and she is so exhausted by the end of the day. We go through the same routine for each nap, she has a Lovie blanket that helps sooth her ,and we run a fan for white noise. We've also made her room as dark as possible. She usually sleeps well at night, so that's not an issue. I just want her to take two GOOD naps a day. Any suggestions????
All babies vary, my bub had three good sleeps at that age... Try and keep her awake and playful til you want her to go to sleep. It's just a matter of training her to your plan.

3. What is your baby's bedtime? He lays down at about 8:30 but from his Video Monitor I can tell that he plays in his crib until about 9.
4. Do you read bedtime stories before bed? Yes, every night.
5. Does he/she sleep through the night? Yep.. He sleeps from about 9 - 8:30AM
6. Does your child sleep with a lovie (like a stuffed animal or blanket)? Yes he sleeps with his 'B'... Which is his blankey!
7. Does your child sleep with a pillow? Nope, not yet... I suspect he wants one though as I always catch him in the morning using one of his teddy bears to lay his head on.
8. Where does your baby sleep at night (in your bed, his/her crib in your room or in his/her own room?) Sometimes in his crib, sometimes with me. If my husband is working late I'll just put the baby in bed with me and then my husband either puts him in his crib when he gets home, or lets him sleep with us all night.
9. What position does your baby sleep in (on back, on tummy, on side, with his/her little butt in the air?) He flip flops... he likes to fall asleep on his stomach but he always ends up on his back by morning.
