What are swaddle blankets used for?
I am 24 weeks preggo and I am due in July. I am buying all sorts of things over the internet and I see "swaddle blankets" on every sight. What are they used for?
Since my baby is due in July will he need one? they seem to be thick material, maybe used for only the winter time?
a swaddling blanket is a blanket that is used to wrap your child around the body keeping the little arms and legs snugly covered where they aren't likely to wriggle out and get cold and fussy.
the idea is to cradle the child in warmth so it can rest peacefully without binding too snugly.
blankets of any weight or any fabric (so long as it doesn't irritate baby's sensitive skin) can be used to swaddle the baby.
