Packing bag for hospital, what do I need?
So far I have socks, slippers, robe, toiletries, going home outfit for both baby and mom, cell phone & charger, camera & charger, list of people to call, baby book, boppy pillow, bed pillow and nursing bra. The hospital I am delivery at supplies diapers, wipes, underwear and pads. Is there anything else I will need?
Sounds good. I have some suggestions for you to bring for your man...he will not want to leave you while in labor and most hospitals do not provide him with anything to eat as he is not the pateint.
Bottled water is a really good idea. The nurses at my hosital gave my husband a huge mug with ice so he could have cold water (so don't worry that it wil be warm in your bag).
Snacks or a roll of quarters for the vending machines. My first labor was 19 hours long and my husband did not leabe me for more than 2 minutes at a time during the entire thing. He was glad he had snacks and money to buy things out of the vending machines. His mom broght him a sub when they arrived later in the day but the snacks were a good idea!
I was really greatful that we had brought some quarters for the vending machine too as after I gave birth it was 2:30 AM and there was no food available for me to eat, so I had my husband get me a few snacks as I was starving!
Also...is he planning to stay the night with you and the baby? If so, he will need a change of clothes also.
And one thing for you...I hate wearing the hospital gowns after I deliver so I always buy myself a nice new pair of comfy pajamas and bring them to wear after delivery. It's nice when people come to visit too that you feel like You Are wearing clothes and do not feel like you are exposing yourslef all the time! LOL!

Make-up (yes, I like to look nice for the visitors)

Pillow from home (can't sleep w/o MY pillow)

Things for hubby:

Toothpaste, toothbrush, deodorant, shampoo

For baby:

Car seat (already in the back of the car)
my son sweats alot..he is 4 months and his temp. is normal...?
why would he be sweaty all the time.. especially when i feed him.. i place him on a boppy pillow while nursing, and by the time he is finished or ready to switch sides i have to flip the pillow over becasue it is soaked..is this normal? It only 72 - 73 in our house. we hardly run the heat because we live in Arizona, so its not that necessary in the day time...
your head releases a vast amount of heat. its normal.
I have 3 kids and 2 of them would sweat like that. Don't worry, they will grow out of it. Just keep a little towel or cloth nearby to wipe of his head/hair when nursing.
