Will I still be able to continue breastfeeding if I miss a whole day of nursing?
I have a trip this weekend and will be away from my 6 week old breastfed baby. Where I will be I will not be able to pump either. Will I be able to continue breastfeeding or will my milk supply decrease largely?
If I was you I would find a way to pump, your breast are going to hurt so bad, but yes you should be able to continue feeding, hope it all works out for you
breastfeeding, can my supply go down if i go too long without nursing or pumping for one night?
last night my 2 month old slept for 7 hours without waking up to nurse. since i usually wake when she does, i also slept that long. i usually feed her every 2 to 3 hours so i am worried going so long without nursing or pumping will decrease my supply. does anyone know if this is possible? and if so is there anyway to increase in again?
You should be fine. Your supply is pretty well set up by 2 months. My boys slept for 12 hours straight one night when they were around 3 months old. Scared me half to death when I rolled over and it was daylight out and they went all night without waking up. I jumped out of bed so fast my husband said I was a blur!
Plus, if she continues to sleep that long at night you'd want your body to stop producing more at night.
