What are signs of a baby having "cotton mouth"?
My 19 month old has white patches inside her mouth. She sucks on her thumb the entire time and it looks like cotton mouth.
I can't make an appt today because the doctors' offices are closed by now. I just found out a while ago. I'm making an appt until tomorrow.
Have your babies had cotton mouth and how was it. How did you treat it?
Yes, it sounds like thrush. It's kinda like a yeast inrfection of the mouth. I've had two of my kids have it and one took the medicine the dr. prescribed (sticky and looks like orange julius) and the other I just got over the counter Gentian Violet for. I strongly recommend the latter. Just don't spill it 
Is it a good idea to remove waterproof eye makeup with baby oil and cotton wool? It 's kind of hard to...?
get rid of the oily feeling, but regular make up remover doesn't shift the waterproof makeup, and I know it's not good to rub the delicate skin around one's eyes too much. What's the best way to remove this oily residue?
I do wash my face with my face wash after removing my eye makeup with the baby oil, but the face wash doesn't remove the oily feeling. That's the problem.
If you're taking off your makeup and then going to sleep, just wash the rest of your face as usual and leave the remaining oily residue on your eye area. The oils will slip into your skin and make your eye area softer. In the morning you probably are going to wash up your face again and that will rid you of the rest.
Otherwise I use the premoistened facial makeup remover cloths. They are FAB at taking off all my makeup including waterproof mascara and the semi-permanent lip colors.
Try the Oil of Olay or Dove brand wipes.
Go gentle on your eyes, by pressing the cloth against you eyes while shut and leaving it there to soften the makeup a bit without rubbing.
