What is a good NFL or college pick to cover the spread this week?
I'm 11 and 4 going into Saturday's games(73.3 percent) BC is favored by 4, and I have them covering by at least a touchdown. take BC final score 27 to 17. No way Ohio St. covers by 26 or more points in Champaign, take the Illini, 28 to 17 Buckeyes, Michigan is good, but they won't cover by 33 over Ball St.... no way. 38 to 14 Wolverines. Take Oklahoma St. and the points, Texas wins by only 11, 36 to 25. I like Oklahoma to cover the spread of 2 and 1/2 barely winning by 3; 28 to 25 @ A&M. Take NC St. at home and the five points. They may even win this game straight up, I don't think they will but they won't lose by more than 4, they've already beat two ranked opponents at home this year 25 to 21 Yellowjackets. I like Virginia Tech over Miami, Hokies by five, 23 to 18. Take Maryland and the 20 points, Clemson will win, but not that big, 33 to 19 Tigers.
Poll: Are men less likely to pick up a book because there is a female on the cover?

I just asked my partner. His opinion is that it's not whether there is a woman on the cover that matters, but the style of the cover over all. If a book has a picture of a woman on the cover, has a stupid title with a pun in it that relates to shopping, shoes, dating, weddings or similar and a pink colour scheme, then no, he wouldn't read it (and neither would I, for that matter). Neither, conversely, would he pick up some stupid thriller with a woman in a bikini holding a gun on the cover, because that's not his kind of book.
But it's not specifically the presence of the woman on the cover that would bother him, it's the whole package.
If it was a book that just happened to have a woman on the cover solely because it had a female lead character and not to denote that it was bad genre fiction, then he would be no less likely to read it, and he certainly wouldn't reject a book on the basis of it having a female author.
