what are the basic diaper bag necessities? I know diapers, wipes, that sort of thing...new to all this and?
trying to get things ready...don't want to be getting stuff put together last minute for a change...
I would say the following...
diapers
wipes
diaper Rash Ointment
pacifier
mini lotions/oils
small toy for baby
flat changing mat
extra bottles/nipples
baby nail clippers
nasal cleaner
baby medicines
change of clothing
mini powder (if you use it)
that's all I can think of at the moment but anything you use oftern for chainging or common needs of your baby.
Is it tacky to have a diaper and wipes party AND a baby shower?
My sister is 4 months pregnant with her first baby. I was planning to have a diapers & wipes party for her the 1st of October. This would be a co-ed pool party/BBQ style very causal. At this party she will announce the sex of the baby. Then I was wanting to plan her actual baby shower in January since she is due end of Febuary. Some people I have shared this with think most people will not come in January because they will feel it is a 2nd shower. At the diaper & wipes party we are not going to play any games or have much decorations though, it will be more of a celebration to announce the sex and a good way to get some diap's & wipes. Thanks!
Really? We are going to spend way more on food, drinks, & stuff then she will actually get in diapers and wipes.
No, I think it's an awesome idea actually. The gender announcement is so exciting that I think more people should have a celebration for it! Maybe you could include in the invitation that gifts aren't necessary at this party since there will be a future baby shower once the gender is announced and the registry is finished so that people won't feel that both events are the same.
