our gmc pickup passenger side seat belt will lock if it is pulled all the way out. can this be disabled?
when sitting in the seat with the seat belt on, if you reach forward and pull the belt to its end, it will latch and constantly tighten as you move back in the seat. the only way to get it to let go is to unlatch the belt, let it retract, then put it back on. the dealer told us this is made this way so the seatbelt can be used to lock in a child seat, but it is very annoying.
All seatbelts do that. It can't be disabled. And it doesn't matter the modle or make either.
