What's better, to wear a shade of foundation/powder that's 1 shade too dark or 1 shade too light???
I have a tan and my usual make-up won't match perfectly. One is a shade too dark and another is a shade too light. There are no more shades to buy that are between the two. Which one is better to wear?
Actually, as a makeup artist myself, I ALWAYS have 2 foundations (one lighter one darker), so I can accentuate and mix. If the brands are the same it'll turn out fine... If they're two opposite brands you might want to buy something your shade.
Since you're tan, you can wear the one shade darker and just blend it in more (use less foundation), and then use the lighter shade on your T-zones (strip across your forehead, bridge of nose, apples of cheeks), and it'll be fine.
Best hair color shade for light brown to blonde?
My hair is naturally light, light brown and I have light blonde highlights more on the top of my hair, underneath it is darker. I want to color it all a lighter blonde shade and am afraid of the orange, brassy tones. I bought an ultra natural blonde shade (loreal) and am wondering if this will lighten up the underneath brown and even it out or do I need to go to a salon?
it should be fine. Hair only goes all brassy if your trying to really BLEACH out dark hair. If it has a slightly yellowish tinge you can get a shampoo with a purple tint that will remove the yellowness. It would be very expensive to get it done at a salon. Your hair sounds like it will be easy to deal with so don't waste your money on something that you can do at home.
