How did poor Nancy (and some others) get so caught up with The Rooster and his Polar Bear?
I wish I never discussed this. Now there are several people who are all caught up in the life and times of The Rooster and his terribly mistake, The Polar Bear. Is there any way we can help Nancy and the others to forget about this tragic real life story?

What year did the polar bear become and icon of Canada?
I need this for a history project I am doing on polar bears and global warming. Does anyone know what year the polar bear officially became an icon of Canada. Or what year the toonie was made? It'd be greatly appreciated, thanks. 
I noticed that the guy did not answer your question as to when the tooney was made. According to Wikipedia the $2.00 coin was introduced on February 19, 1996. As to whether not a polar bear is a Canadian icon is debatable. I think that the polar bear is more of an Eskimo or an Inuit icon as opposed to a Canadian icon. Typically the Canadian icons tend to be beavers, or Canada geese.
