What should I have set up for the day baby comes home from the hospital?
I and my girlfriend are going down a list of what we need to do and have ready but I just want to make sure we got mostly everything.
Diapers & Wipes
Freshly washed clothes(including hats,socks,mittens and blankets)
Car seat(installed in car & checked by a fireman)
Bottles(and bottle warmer)
Pacifiers
Bassinet
We can't help but feel like we are forgetting something.

If you guys feel up to it, cook some dinners and freeze them. You're going to be so exhausted you'd probably appreciate having some homecooked meals in the freezer. Good luck!
How do you keep your diaper bag from weighing a TON?
Mine is so heavy!! All I have is diapers, wipes, set of his clothes and socks and hat, burp cloth, rec blanket for feedings, pacifier, my wallet and a few personal items, and a board book for car rides (he likes looking at the red picture lol).
I dread when we add toys.
Its the tiny thin wipe box. I have to put the burp cloth under his chin to catch milk and the blanket over us. (breastfeeding and don't like showing my skin ATM lol)
We don't even use a real diaper bag. We use a sports bag/book bag type thing. It has the one strap that goes on one shoulder and diagonally across your front. Anyways, I have 3 boys and in it I always keep 5 diapers, a small pack of wipes, 1 change of clothes per child, and a sippy cup and bottle. We leave toys in the car, and my things go in my purse. I think the bag is really light for having 3 young ones, but then again it's just essentials.
