what other brand nipples (besides dr. brown) will fit into dr. brown wideneck and standard bottles?? help!!?
i love these bottle but need different nipples. would nuk fit, or playtex?? i have both wideneck and standard bottles so ill need nipples for both. anyone have a clue?? thanks.
Hi! The first answerer is right! I use gerber bottles for my son and dr. brown silicone nipples. I like the silicone ones best because the gerber brown nipples don't last for long and then they begin to to weird things when attaching to the cap and eventually start leaking into a mess! The nipples that fit in standard sizes will fit any standard bottle. Playtex, nuk and other brands will fit into the widenecks. So don't be afraid to use them instead. I never used parents choice but that is because I preferred the dr.brown or avent nipples. They seem to be most durable for me.
Also Target and Burlington Coat Factory probably both have the largest selection for bottles, nipples, pacifiers, and cups. Those are the best places to get what you need. Wal-Mart has more common brands but not as many options as far as quantity is concerned.
Wide bottle Nipples vs. Standard?
Is there a major difference in using wide nipples over standard? I intend to breastfeed, but when hubby wants "bonding time" with the baby, obviously he will bottle feed from my pumped milk. I have already bought Playtex Ventaire Standard bottles with slow flow and fast flow nipples. But I didn't know if it would cause problems nursing with using standard nipples. Anyone informed in this area? I'm a "new mom to be" so I am definitely a novice ...lol
Wide bottle nipples are designed to be more like the breast and eliminate breast/bottle confusion for the baby. You should probably go with the Playtex Ventaire wide bottles.
