Can anyone tell me what is the difference between star and diamond ratings for hotel accomodation?
I found what I thought was good accomodation for a weekend away but it has been rated as only a two-star, whereas it has five diamonds....very confused... :-{

Star and diamond should be exactly the same, they inspect with the same critiera its just that they have different inspection bodies ( AA, RAC, Visit Britain etc )
5 diamonds is reserved for VERY good country hotels and the like. You would never describe a 5 diamond as "good", it would be great. At least £100/night
2 star is a bit iffy to me, some of the rooms might not be en-suite etc. £15-20 night
I suggest you phone and clarify who they got rated by for each rating, that way you can find out more about thier facilities.
We've got 4 diamonds with whirlpool baths, bodyjet showers, 4 posters etc, we're at the top of 4 stars. So 5 will be pretty special.

You probably wont be able to find the exact belly ring you want. Is the necklace a pendant? Was it inexpensive? Your best bet would be to buy another necklace or set of earrings then buy a belly ring that you can take the charm off and attach your own.
